May – New Members Meeting

Following the changes we instituted at the start of this year we now have an enthusiastic membership for the Bradley Stoke Small Business Forum.  The new style agenda is proving very popular with well attended meetings and a great atmosphere in our new meeting room.

We are now ready to recruit new members to join our happy crew!

With this in mind, we have set aside our May meeting as a special “New Members” event and hope to attract lots of potential businesses to come along and see what we do, how we network and find business for one another.

Your help in doing this would be greatly appreciated. We already have 20 people due to come along and would dearly love to get that up to 30 or even 40!

A New Look for the Bradley Stoke Small Business Forum

There is a new meeting room, new membership benefits and a new “feel” to the monthly meetings of the Bradley Stoke Small Business Forum (BSSBF). Members now have  a boardroom style room to congregate in with free refreshments and a new structured agenda that is designed to improve the opportunities for business within the room.

Jill Parkinson, the new Chair said “We pass a great deal of business amongst members in the Forum, which may not be obvious to other members, so we want to highlight how valuable the monthly meetings are to small businesses. Also, by inviting guest speakers and using the expertise we have within the Forum, we hope to be both supportive and informative at the same time!”

The BSSBF meets every second Monday of the Month,

 


Esporta Family Day

BSSBF Esporta 10 We had a great time at the Esporta family event on Sat 17th July. It was great to see many of our balloons around and to meet yet more potential members and raise awareness about local small businesses with the families that attended the event.

Christmas is coming!

The committee have decided to have our christmas do at The Hilton Hotel, North Bristol on Monday 13th December.
Included is a 3 course dinner, tea and coffees, favours and crackers and a glass of wine. All of this will cost £30.

Due to restriction on numbers and the AGM, this is a members only event. If you would like to come along please can you book ASAP with Jan. The full amount in cash (£30 per person) must be required on booking. The deadline is 8th November. No refunds once booking and payment is made.

BSSBF Wine Tasting evening went down well!

The BSSBF had a fantastic wine tasting event at the Aztec Hotel on Friday 4th June.

Our expert for the evening was young Rob who took us through what we should look for in a wine and the difference between old and new world wine.
